Good Afternoon All,
For this week we will be hosting group classes! Each group will focus on exercise, stretching and curriculum.
We will be using Gallery mode in Zoom so that everyone can see each other. We will keep the microphones open as much as we can so students can talk (socialize) with each other. If a participant does become some what ‘chatty’ we will be forced to disable that student’s microphone.
Each student is encouraged to participate in as many classes as they can. For example, a Red belt student may participate in their group and well as lower rank classes. That Red belt may also participate in the Green belt group in order to advance their curriculum.
Each ‘specialty’ class will be recorded and made available on our YouTube Channel for review. A specialty class would be, for example, a class where we work one kata in detail. A student learning that kata can then bring up and review that kata in their free time after the class. The same would be true for a kumite. Each recorded lesson will be clearly labeled for the student to identify
All classes will start and end promptly. The Meeting Room will be open 5 minutes before the start of the class.
During those 5 minutes LET’S HAVE A PET PARADE!!! During those 5 minutes show off your dog, cat, bird, monkey fish or friend!!
Private lessons will be available in “Tutoring Fashion” upon request. A private lesson entails a request to focus on a particular area to either receive help or enhance. An example would be “help with the funny circle block thingy in Seichin Kata” or “am I moving correctly in kyu kumite” or a simple “how is my Seisan?”. These tutoring sessions should be approximately 10-15 minutes but will go until whatever the topic is is resolved.
Parking Lot lessons: These are tremendously fun! We will schedule these again once the weather firms up. Both Ty and I would like to continue these outdoor lessons through Summer and Fall.
Adults are encouraged to drop into the virtual class and stop by (please email first so that we can be certain to be available) to discuss kata. Adults can schedule visits before or after (Saturday and Sundays also ) virtual classes.
Once Again I thank all of our dojo family and wish everyone a safe time.
If you need a schedule for this week please email!!
